It is with great enthusiasm and excitement we announce our 2018-2019 Head Coaches for the 14U-A1 & 16U-A1 teams!

14U-A1
Alex Peltram

Alex returns for his third season of coaching our 14U-A1 team. As a former SAYHA youth hockey player and Braves alumni, Alex brings a fun, encouraging, and professional atmosphere to the ice. “We’re thrilled to have Alex back coaching for another season,” says Hockey Director Neil Runbeck. “He’s done an amazing job with our defensive core over the past two seasons. This past season he helped lead our 14U-A1 team to a State Title and a 2-1 record at the USA Hockey National Championships. The players really enjoy his energy and his knowledge and we know he’s going to do a great job developing and mentoring these young men and women.”

16U-A1
Dustin Donaghy

Dustin played Junior “A” hockey for the Penticton Vees from 2005-2007. He then moved up to the Spokane Chiefs in the WHL and won the Memorial Cup in 2008. He finished his Junior career with the Lethbridge Hurricanes in 2010. Donaghy then turned pro with the Allen Americans of the CHL in 2010-2011. Midway through the season, he was traded tot the Wichita Thunder where he played from 2010-2014. Dustin carries his High Performance 1 Certification as well as a USA Hockey Level 3 Certification. Dustin was the Coach for the 16U Midget Varsity team at the CDA Hockey Academy that plays in the CSSHL. Dustin has spent the past 2 seasons as an Assistant Coach in the BCHL Junior “A” Hockey League.

“Dustin will bring a sense of development, structure, and discipline to our 16U program. We’re excited to have Dustin join the SAYHA team! He’s a professional level coach that will help bring our program to the next level. In addition to coaching the 16U-A1 team, Dustin will have a large presence in the development of our 16U & 14U divisions. We’re lucky to have him and we look forward to seeing his influence with our players.”
